Tale of Yards that weaves dreams with ellegance :Triveni Dare2Drape Challenge
Today I am back with another OOTD post which
is a lot different from the ones I have posted before . Saree is something that
bears sentiments of Indian women . Women across
the world are becoming inclined towards this traditional outfit mainly
sported by Indian Women . Saree is an unstitched piece of rectangular cloth
,this unstictched piece of cloth is efficient enough to outshine the glory of
many intricate designed apparels. In our country we have seen women wearing
saree but one thing that used to amaze me when I was a kid is the type of pallu
or Aanchal as we all call it .I bearly had any idea that this thing called
saree can be drapped in somany ways .
Today I am here with a post where I have
taken up Dare2Drape challenge sponsored by Triveni Sarees .The very first style
I am sporting is authentic popular saree drapping style . This is the style I have
sport in my OOTD post of Woman’s Day which is again in association with Triveni
Ethnics .Click here to Read

Triveni is a brand that organized a saree drapping
workshop on the month of February, where award winning saree drapper Dolly Jain
taught us a couple of easy saree drapping style . I guess you all have already
read the post about Triveni’s Bloggers Meet at Oxford book store Kolkata. So the
style that I am sporting is what I have
learnt from Dolly Ma’m .This style is mostly sported by women of north eastern
India . Assam has got some unique bihu style of drapping but this style is pretty
much proventially confined . The style I am wearing this saree is sported by
women of North Eastern India.
Now let me revive the bong spirit .Actually I
am not trying to draw comparison or any kind of controvery but my mother says
no other style of drapping a saree is as graceful as Bengali Style of drapping
a saree. Here goes the glimpse .
Let me now come to another style which is
sported by women across North India and mostly north western India. This style
is often visible as a popular style of drapping in Bihar, Chattisgarh Jharkhand
belt too.
Saree drapping style called “Mermaid “ was
very very popular in the retro days when bollywood actresses like Mumtaz
sported mermaid style of drapping saree. Here goes a glimpse of me sporting the
same . The Saree I am Sporting is Sakambari Silk Saree from Triveni Ethnics
