Styling and Accessorizing Saraswati Pujo Look : The Spring Fiesta Begins : OOTD & Fusion Styling

Boshonto Eshe Gechhe” I know this composition of Anupam Roy is what comes to every bongs mind when Saraswati Pujo is not far. Saraswati Pujo is the bong version of Valentines Day for lovers and Feel Free to go all decked up day for singles .A bong girl, nomater how many times she wears a saree for office Party , marriage ceremony , or seminar nothing beats the divine beauty of a bengali lady in her Mahashtami and Saraswati Pujo’s draped in Saree look.

Only a conventee understands that childhood’s Saraswati Pujo charm is not what every bong experiences. As a child, I have always seen my local friends dressed in cute yellow prestitched sarees and red blouse going to school with their parents . During my teenage days ,Saraswati Puja invitation at tution class used to be very very exciting . Honestly , for all conventees tution class’ Saraswati Pujo used to be absolutely funfilled . It was the only opportunity when we girls used to feel free to go out all decked up,atleast those days we were not really facing the cold stare that said “ always decked up and fashion inclination will show up in your report card .”

Adulthood’s work pressure ,hectic life made me loose excitement in Saraswati Pujo . It is really hard for a bong to hide excitement about Saraswati Pujo. So today I am going to show my lovely readers my Saraswati Pujo Out Fit

Being a fashion enthusiast fusion and mix and match look is what I prefer , so I chose a very very comfy South Cotton ( Madrasi Cotton ,muga zari border )solid white saree .. Saraswati Pujo’s ‘Boshonto’ (spring ) charm is more authentically about yellow (basanti ) but a white is also not a bad choice . I have styled the white saree with Kalamkari Blouse .

South Cotton of kerala and kalamkari of Andhra Pradesh contributted to my fusion look white I chose to flaunt for a bengali occasion . Is’nt that unity in diversity? :-D Mera Bharat Mahan .

Coming to accessories I have styled this look with authentic Dokra Jewellery .Dokra is an art ,the practice of this art is found specifically in Bankura and Birbhum District of West bengal . Dokra is baked clay art that is sometimes found in artistry show piece sometimes bangles ,necklace and other form of Jewellery .

Makeup:
I have prepared my skin with lass naturals Aloevera Gel 20 mins before applying Sunscreen from Kaya Skin . After 20 mins a thin layer of Lakme CC cream in bronze is what I’ve applied. My skin requires blending of Beinge & Broze of the variant ‘cause beige looks a little too ashening while bronze is half a tone darker than my skin . But the orangish tint of bronze is very very good for covering acne spots and uneveness ,therefore I’ve applied the same to eye area as well . Then lakme absolute concealar and Maybelline Fit me foundation made my skin ready .

For eyes  I have used Makeup Revolution’s Eat Sleep Makeup Repeat palette , Flawless Palette, and Camelon Mono Eye Shadow 3D orange . For lower lashline and tightening Nyx Bel02 Collection Noir Crayon liner was used and lakme 9to5 black eyeliner for upper lashline .
Lipstick : Inglot 280

Watch : Sonata

Yes !! the mustard colored bindi in some of the pics says “ if winter comes, can spring be far behind “ and guess what bongs heard “ Boshonto Eshe Gechhe”
