Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon Cinnamon Brown : Reivew & Swatches

How are you all ? Summer actually being so rude with me that I simply cannot take it anylonger . Tanning and oily skin ,boils break out damn indian summer is not pleasant .I know summer is about great summer lippies ,but I am becoming repulsive to bright colors .Lakme India recently has launched their super cute Enrich Lip Crayon with some amazing  shades. I picked a few lipcrayons from this range .I was a little disappointed to see the dominance of pinks, corals ,oranges ,rust, mauves and reds while a teeny winy brown managed to pop up it’s head .Today, I am going share my views on the shade “Cinnamon Brown”.

Packaging:

First of all it is one of the cutest lippie ever . Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon looks exactly like a  pretty crayon with a color-coded paper on the body. It comes with a  black cap. I am not saying that the caps of the entire range are not tight enough to rate it travel friendly ,but mine are not tight for sure .Is it the entire range or Just I am the unlucky person ????But so far whichever company came up up with crayon lippie ,I think no other company could ever match the exact crayon look that this range did justice to .

My Experience with Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon 09 Cinnamon Brown:

I was ranting really bad about the caps but these crayons are priced at Rs.185, so everything is fine at this super cheap rate.And guess what? each crayon comes with a dual sharpener, which works smoothly and, I can use the small one not only to sharpen these but for other eye /lip pencils too. Though it is a sharpenable pencil, but there is less wastage during sharpening. Due to this dual sharpening provision I seldom need to use a different lip pencil .  This range has many beautiful shades, and the shade, “Cinnamon Brown” is the only n*de brown shade in this entire range.I would rather describe this brown as biscuit color beautifully blended with brown.What I found irritating about most browns is either they have rust or reddish touch or bluish undertone.But this looks amazing ‘cause it has a beautiful mauvish touch . It looks almost natural and can be a perfect daily wear for shade for all skin tones. I love this shade on me.

As I was telling you all this summer is making me ridiculously bright repulsive ,which I never was !!! Global Warming mal effect indeed .Pigmentation wise I wont rate this particular shade great , but as per lakme’s reputation ,it’s better than average . Color pay off is not bad ,the shade is buildable with 2-3 swipes ,though I am not a multi swipe person .I am loving it more for  not carrying any shimmers in it and can hide lip pigmentation as well.

Texture wise  This Lakme Enrich lip crayon Cinnamon Brown  has a soft and  smooth texture that glides easily on lips but, it feels slightly waxy as well. It feels super comfy and light weight too . This crayon is not a drying one rather it is purely on  beautiful non-drying creamy matte finish side , which is a big thumbs up point . It settles into a smooth, even texture, which keeps my lips soft for long.

Like every lipstick it will settle in fine lines if your lips are not moisturized and exfoliated . But somehow the texture  is manageable , and the horrible fine line settled look is not prominent because of the smoothness.It does transfer, but the color still stays on the lips nicely and doesn’t create any mess like unpleasant smudging or uneven fading  around the lips. It is quite easy to draw a perfect lip line with this crayon due to its pointed tip, two sharpners are provided for a reason I told you !!! It is devoid of strong rather noticeable smell .

 I wasn’t expecting it to be a long-lasting lipstick considering the price .This last for good 4 hours surving a meal ,which is a hats off point .For the other shades I will differ ,but this particular one fails to survive  survive heavy lunch.But Re-application is super easy and unlike other lipsticks does’nt look patchy on re-application rather  the freashness in texture looks great .

I would suggest you’ll to give this range a try . I personally liked this shade very much . My complection is just the ‘in between ‘ of Wheatish and fair . So I would say it can be used as a n*de lipstick for medium to dusky beauties . And for bright complection it works as subtle brown . I wish Lakme’s Crayon collection had few more browns .

Pros of Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon 09 Cinnamon Brown:

  Lovely nostalgic crayon packaging and technically very easy color-coded packaging.

  Very very affordable ,availabily is not an issue .

It  comes with a good quality dual sharpener.So have a good collection of sharpners now .

Feels comfortable and light on lip, providing amazing  hydration to lips.

It is a absolutely non drying matte , doest settle in fine lines but the texture is manageable and even if it settles in fine lines it bearly looks horrible .

I love  the color ,it is must try for every taste and every complection .

I am not disappointed with the staying power , it stays for good 4 hours .

Color pay of is good , buildable with 2-3 swipes ,single swipe is not enough for this shade ( I am talking about this particular color not others )

Cons of Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon 09 Cinnamon Brown:

  I though only mine is defective ,but even my friends are also finding the same flaw  the cap doesn’t close tightly.

  Needs frequent sharpening.

 Does transfer and fails to  survive a heavy lunch.

  Needs reapplication.
